Redskins rookie given Starburst to put in his sock
Though X-rays were negative on Cousins, it’s not necessarily good news. The middle of the foot includes the dreaded Lisfranc joint, and sprains to the ligaments there can be lingering injuries that sideline a player for months. The severity of Cousins’ sprain is not yet known. He was on crutches after the game and not putting weight on his foot, according to ESPN radio. Tests will surely be conducted on Tuesday to determine how long he’s expected to be sidelined. Griffin has repeatedly said he expects to be ready come Week 1 after tearing his ACL in January’s playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks . The thought was, if Griffin wasn’t ready to go, that would be fine because Cousins proved during his rookie season he was more than capable of playing in a pinch. Cousins replaced Griffin after the No.
Nor one that honored African-American ancestors (who helped build the Capitol) by naming its team Washington Darkies. Yet every autumn we stand and sing Hail to the Redskins! It began innocently. In Boston, in 1932, a new professional sports team took the name of its National League baseball landlords and began as footballs Boston Braves. Next year, the football Braves moved to the rival Red Soxs Fenway Park and, needing a new name, chose something close: the Boston Redskins. Three years later, the Redskins moved to Washington. Today, we know our culture wont tolerate a name derived from skin color.

This is a blessing!! Thanks so much. pic.twitter.com/OQ3qXA0reS Chris Thompson (@ChrisThompson_4) August 20, 2013 The letter discusses Thompsons love for red and yellow Starbursts (red, obviously; but yellow??) but notes that it only sent a regular pack. Oh, come on, Starburst! Youre better than that! If there a Starburst-branded socks, surely my man Chris Thompson can get a pack full of reds.

The end of the Washington Redskins?
This isnt a problem that showed up this year either. Last year, the Redskins ranked 30th in opponents passing yards by allowing an average of 281.9 yards per game. Their lone NFC East loss from last year was thanks to Victor Cruz who beat the secondary deep within the final minute and won the game for the New York Giants . Last year, the Redskins were missing a key piece to the puzzle in Brandon Meriweather due to injury. This season, even though he hasnt played yet this preseason, Meriweather is expected to be ready for Week 1. In his only game last season, he had an interception against the Philadelphia Eagles before reinjuring himself. This past April, the game plan at the NFL Draft was certainly to upgrade the secondary. They drafted defensive backs David Amerson, Philip Thomas (who was lost for the season with a Lis Franc injury) and Bacarri Rambo. Amerson has shown promise and Rambo has been a little rough around the edges, but has shown potential.
First up is taking attendance, with year two of the RGIII era set to begin amidst controversy about his readiness for Week 1. Not many other notable free agents were signed, nor did many leave. Questions about the Redskins health, such as defensive stalwarts London Fletcher and Brian Orakpo, are considered. Next up is pop quiz, where the guys consider whether or not RGIII is the best quarterback in the NFC East (a division also featuring Eli Manning, Tony Romo, and Michael Vick). Then its time for fantasy 101, a team ripe with studs and sleepers. Lastly, its time for the final grade, where the Redskins have a surprising Vegas over/under of 8.5. The guys are conflicted on the Skins finishing over, but agree they could miss the post-season. Gresh & Zo’s Summer School: Washington Redskins Gresh & Zo
Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center: A gift that keeps giving?
What happens is once you start to see results from different things, more and more people will come, and thats exactly what I think youre going to find here. In the beginning youre going to have the athletes, and then more and more people are going to find that treatment more than just an hour can get you a lot further. And really when it comes to obesity and health in general you look at the vitamins, you look at the way people exercise, you look at the length of time people are living now, how much longer they are [living] were a society that is going to be more and more reliant on health [care]. And Bon Secours has created the initial stages of a facility that will be able to accommodate the people of the Richmond area I think in a very, very efficient way. Like Theismann, whose career ended with a broken leg, newly signed Redskins linebacker Nick Barnett knows how devastating injuries can be. Barnett, a 10-year NFL veteran who began his career with the Green Bay Packers and played the last two years for the Buffalo Bills, has struggled with a series of injuries throughout his career.
